Disney Resort Guest Room Refrigerators

fridgeDue to a possible defect in the refrigerators in some of the Guest rooms at the Walt Disney World® and Disneyland® Resorts, as well as Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa, Resort hotels at these locations have removed or temporarily disconnected Guest room refrigerators until the issue can be resolved.

Guests staying at these Resort hotels will be notified of the refrigerator removal via a letter in their room. Currently the schedule for replacing the refrigerators at these Resorts is expected to last several months.  This recall will effect all non-Villa rooms.  Special requests can be made for those guests needing refrigerators for medical purposes.

  1. Oh my goodness. Just when i thought not having the dining plan would work out okay, and i was already prepared to get snacks, milk, juices, cereal for breakfast…now this. We are staying at the end of August. I’ve been dying for a PIN code but nothing yet. I call every week, signed up for eveything, and still nothing. Now no working fridge. Maybe they will have to open up the free dining dates for the public that are given out in the PIN discount. I think i best call them and see what I can do , or what they can do for me. For a family of 5, no dining plan and now no fridge is not good.

  2. I am going to DisneyWorld in early September. What a bummer no fridge. Like cold water.
With a family of 5 I think you have a good chance of getting up. Wouldn’t hurt to call and ask.

  3. We are staying at The Caribbean Beach resort in September and just received a letter that they will be pulling the refrigerators from those rooms as well. I feel with all the “MAGIC” Disney does behind the scenes – make the “Replacement Magic” happen sooner! They make to much money to not be able to get this done ASAP.
